Chris Matthews: Crossing Trump Is Almost Like Crossing Hussein
A slightly taken-aback MSNBC panel tried make sense of a highly contentious interview between Donald Trump and MSNBC’s Katy Tur Wednesday afternoon, with Chris Matthews noting that Trump took such personal vengeance upon reporters who crossed him that he was starting to resemble a Middle East dictator.
“He has a lot of information on everybody,” Matthews said. “He’s ready to go after a guy like Charles Krauthammer. He’s already done the oppo on every journaist around. He’s ready with the worst stuff to throw at you.”
“It’s like you used to read about in the days of Baghdad under Hussein. You didn’t want to be in a restaurant with one of his kids because they might make eye contact with you and you might make eye contact with their girlfriend at the time, and you’re dead the next day. So it’s going to be dangerous territory out on that [GOP debate] stage.”
He and Chuck Todd then agreed that Trump would make a great comic book character. Watch below, via MSNBC:
