Chris Wallace Calls Out Conway’s ‘Non-Denial Denial’ on Kushner Clearance: If Report Were False, She’d ‘Say it’
Fox News’ Chris Wallace called out White House counselor Kellyanne Conway this afternoon for her response to the big New York Times report on President Donald Trump ordering Jared Kushner to get top-secret security clearance despite concerns from intel officials.
Earlier on Fox, Conway had said that while they won’t comment on security clearances, “the president has the absolute right to do what was described.”
Wallace reacted to those comments by calling them “a classic non-denial denial”:
“If it were false, if in fact the president hadn’t been involved, I can’t imagine they wouldn’t say that. They have no qualms about saying when news is fake, reporting they think is inaccurate. They’re not saying that about this story, so I think that speaks for itself.”
