CNN Literally Silences Donald Trump Supporter Scottie Nell Hughes

If there is a hell worse than anchoring a cable news show at 6 am on a Saturday, it has to be anchoring a three-box between a #NeverTrumper and a Donald Trump supporter at 6 am on a Saturday. That’s the sad situation CNN’s Victor Blackwell found himself in on New Day Saturday this week, but he got at least a few seconds of golden relief when he tried to toss the conversation to Trump supporter extraordinaire Scottie Nell Hughes:

Let me stop you, Scottie. I don’t want you to have to waste breath, because we can’t hear you.

That has got to be the best Donald Trump surrogate hit in the history of cable news. Unfortunately, CNN ruined it by restoring Hughes’ audio several minutes later, at which point Hughes could audibly be heard to say a bunch of stuff, as well as things.
