CNN Reports On A Man That Wants Your Grandmother To Learn About Pot
CNN took a look at the “Silver Tour” — a initiative spearheaded by a man named Robert Platshorn with the aim of inspiring senior citizens to call for the legalization of medical marijuana.
Platshorn, who spent some three decades in a federal prison for smuggling marijuana, shares that, when he was released, “the last thing I expected to do was become an activist.” And yet, he’s now become something of a poster boy for the movement to rally senior citizens around marijuana.

His generation, Platshorn says “invented marijuana as it’s known today,” and he wishes they’d be more educated about the ways cannabis can treat their physical ailments without the unpleasant — and sometimes lethal — side-effects of other medications.
