CNN: Searching for MH370 Could Take About 3000 Years

CNN wants to make it very clear to all of you it will not stop covering MH370 any time soon. Jeff Zucker is Captain Ahab, and this missing Mayalsian Airlines B777 is his white whale. But at least Moby Dick didn’t take 3,000 years to find. Why bring up a number that large? Because today, someone on CNN actually estimated that it would take 2,955 years to search the entire ocean for the plane if they went mile by mile. Yes. That happened.

CNN weather anchor Chad Myers explained, “If you never stopped for fuel and you never stopped for new sailors, it would take you 2,955 years to map the ocean with one ship.”

So if you think CNN’s going to relax its MH370 coverage anytime soon… April Fools! We have a maximum of three more millennia of this to go.
