CNN’s Alisyn Camerota: I’m ‘Concerned’ About Kanye After Pro-Trump SNL Rant
CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota said she is “concerned” about the rapper Kanye West after his pro-Trump rant after his performence on Saturday Night Live.
“I think [his rants are] a little bit uncomfortable, I just am wondering if it’s time to start worrying about Kanye because he does go on, sometimes, nonsensical rants,” the New Day co-host said. “He has taken a break for some stress related issues, so I’m concerned.”
In 2016, the artist cancelled part of his Saint Pablo tour after being hospitalized over concerns for his well-being.
Camerota’s co-host John Berman noted that the SNL cast members watching West’s pro-Trump rant did not have a “warm” body language toward the rapper.
“The president obviously loved it,” Berman added. “I look at it as yet another entertainer deciding to get political on company time.”
President Donald Trump did give West a Twitter shoutout, writing, “Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) – no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told ‘no’), was great. He’s leading the charge!”

West issued a tweet of his own after the show, in-which he claimed that his pro-Trump message is all “love” and that he wants the 13th Amendment abolished, even though it ended the slavery of African-Americans in the US.
this represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love pic.twitter.com/a15WqI8zgu
