CNN’s Berman Challenges GOP Rep About Tucker Carlson Comments: ‘Does It Give You Pause Going On His Show?’

CNN’s John Berman took a snipe at Tucker Carlson on Monday by invoking the Fox News host’s uncovered, misogynist comments in the middle of an interview.

During his broad-range conversation with Congressman Michael Waltz (R-FL), Berman brought up the newly-resurfaced remarks where Carlson hurled a number of insulting remarks about women on a shock-jock radio program. As Berman noted that Waltz has been on Carlson’s Fox News show before, he asked the congressman “Does it give you pause going on his show knowing that he said this?”

Waltz answered that he was “surprised” to hear of Carlson’s remarks because “he’s never said anything like that to me.” After a bit of meandering through the conversation, Waltz insisted that “if I ever hear that type of language, I’ll be sure to take it head on.”

Carlson has refused to apologize over his remarks, dismissing the public outrage by saying he caught saying something “naughty” and telling people to watch his show.
