CNN’s David Gergen Says Roger Stone Could Be Seen as a ‘Dandy’ in Jail, Be ‘Subject to Rape’

CNN’s David Gergen raised eyebrows Monday after suggesting Roger Stone could be seen as a “dandy” in prison and be “subject to rape” worse than the harsh treatment convicted Trump ally Paul Manafort. He suggested Stone may be amping up his legal efforts from fear after hearing the “harrowing tales” of Manafort’s treatment in jail.

“Roger Stone must also worry that if he goes there, he’s seen as something of a dandy,” Gergen commented. “Will he be physically safe? Would he be subject to rape? There must be a lot of things going through his mind. ‘Oh, my God, what have I got myself into?'”

The CNN analyst then noted that “in light of this fear,” how strange it was that Stone would post and then delete a photo of the female federal judge presiding over his case standing next to crosshairs.

“In light of that, how perfectly odd to even post this thing, especially with that crosshairs, which sent a signal to everybody,” Gergen said regarding the photo, musing moreover how strange it was that President Donald Trump had surrounded himself with so many “odd” characters that were “now heading for the slammer.”

Stone snapped back at Gergen Wednesday afternoon, calling out CNN for the network’s “bloodthirsty ravings” about him.

“The bloodthirsty ravings of CNN are on display for all to see. You can express your disdain for these elitist haters by supporting me at StoneDefenseFund.com,” Stone captioned in an Instagram post with a Fox News screenshot Wednesday, with hashtags such as “#rogerstonedidnothingwrong,” “#maga,” and “#freerogerstone.”
