CNN’s Jeff Lord Somehow Blames the Media, Not Trump, for Elevating Cruz Conspiracy

Donald Trump today pushed an insane conspiracy theory about Ted Cruz‘s father and Lee Harvey Oswald, so obviously the blame for elevating this crap goes to… the media.

Or, at least, that’s how CNN’s Jeff Lord––one of the network’s various Trump supporters––framed it during a discussion this afternoon.

He asked, “Does anybody really think that someone who’s lost their job to Carrier is taking about this or they’re talking about their job?”

Amanda Carpenter retorted, “So why is Trump?” Lord stammered, “Well––but he’s, he has been talking about Carrier.”

But then Lord went on to say that people need to chill about Trump pushing a nasty conspiracy theory about a rival’s father.

He said if you talk to regular people, “they laugh, they think it’s hilarious… they don’t take it seriously.” (Which is obviously why Trump pushed it as fact.)
