‘Clear Violation’: CNN’s Tapper, Perez Fact-Check Hillary’s Past Email Statements

With a new report out today detailing problems with Hillary Clinton‘s private emails, CNN’s Jake Tapper and Evan Perez looked back at Hillary Clinton‘s past statements on her server.

Because as Clinton has said in the past, everything she did was permitted, she turned all of her relevant emails over, and there were no security breaches as far as she knew.

But as Perez explained, the IG report concluded it was a “clear violation of the rules,” she didn’t turn over everything, and there was a reference to the server being “attacked.”

The Clinton campaign has said today that the report vindicates them because it shows that Clinton was not unique in having this kind of email set-up.
