Colbert Agrees with Fox Contributor: Being American Is Genetic, ‘Begins at Conception’

There’s a new border that illegal immigrants can cross into America, and it’s freaking out Fox contributors (and, by extension, Stephen Colbert): The amniotic sac.

A new ruling by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services ruled that American mothers who act as surrogates for foreign eggs can pass their citizenship to the child, regardless of the citizenship of the parents — leading Outnumbered contributor Pete Hegseth to speculate that surrogate mothers could now be used to birth the much-feared “anchor zygotes,” and may try to profit off selling their citizenship.

And Colbert agreed. “As we all know, citizenship is genetic. And as a Christian I believe ‘American’ begins at conception,” he railed. “I mean, Uterus-A!”

But in the true spirit of capitalism, Colbert decided to not only sell his sperm, but also his eggs, as a public service to help people birth truly American babies.
