Colbert Joins Pearl Jam to Sing ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’
When David Letterman was host of the Late Show, his musical guests would sometimes stick around and put on a full concert for the studio audience. These concerts were dubbed “Live on Letterman,” and videos of certain songs and performances can still be found on the CBS website and YouTube.
Stephen Colbert‘s new Late Show hasn’t quite done anything akin to “Live on Letterman” — until now. For in addition to Wednesday night’s televised Pearl Jam performance, the band stuck around for the audience’s “one more song” chant and played Neil Young‘s “Rockin’ In The Free World.” Not only that, but the show host joined singer Eddie Vedder on stage to help belt out the famous tune.
