Darren Wilson’s Having a Baby
In the third portion of his interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Ferguson officer Darren Wilson revealed that he and his new wife are going to have a child. News broke of Wilson’s marriage to another Ferguson officer just before the Grand Jury decision not to indict him for the shooting death of Michael Brown.
Wilson sounded unsure of anything else in his future, saying he and his wife would have to find a “new normal,” and wondering what he would do without his job as a police officer.

“That was the job of my life,” he said. “My only goal was to be promoted to sergeant. That was all I ever wanted. I wanted to stay on the road for thirty years and retire as a sergeant.”
Stephanopoulos noted he spoke of being an officer in the past tense. Though Wilson said no decision had been made yet on his return, he did not sound optimistic. “Do you think they would accept me?” he asked. “Do you think that would be safe for me?”
