David Brooks on Hillary Clinton: She’s Not Creative, ‘Leaking Air’
New York Times columnist David Brooks had some harsh words for Hillary Clinton Sunday morning on Meet the Press, telling host Chuck Todd that he believes she is not creative and is “leaking air.”
“She’s an establishment candidate in an anti-establishment year,” Brooks said. “She’s not creative. I think creativity and imagination is a very under-appreciated trait in politics … And she’s in a party that has moved away from her.”
Brooks referenced Jeremy Corbyn, who was elected yesterday as the leader of Britain’s Labour Party. Brooks said Corbyn is “Bernie Sanders times ten” — something that he believes must “send alarm bells” to U.S. Democrats.
The rest of the Meet the Press panel gave a grim outlook for Clinton, who has been losing ground in recent polls to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
