David Letterman Picks Stephen Colbert’s First Late Show Guest

The Late Show with David Letterman will not officially come to an end for another four and a half months, but when TMZ cornered the host this weekend and forced him to pick a first guest for his replacement, Stephen Colbert, he came up with the perfect answer.

After giving some serious thought to a “knock it out of the box” first guest for Colbert, Letterman replied: “Vladimir Putin.”
