Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein said this morning he has not seen good cause to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Rosenstein said Mueller — who is conducting the probe into Trump’s campaign ties to Russia — took appropriate action in dismissing FBI agent Peter Strzok after his anti-Trump texts were discovered.

After being asked if he has yet seen good cause to fire Mueller, Rosenstein said no.

“If there were good cause, I would act,” he said. “If there were no good cause, I would not.”
