Diamond & Silk Weigh in on Torture: Whoopi Goldberg Should Try Waterboarding
Pro-Trump vloggers Diamond & Silk appeared on Fox & Friends Friday morning, and the curvy-couch hosts decided to parse the duo’s thoughts on torture.
The latest subject Fox & Friends outrage is apparently Whoopi Goldberg, who said on The View Thursday, in light of President Donald Trump’s claim that “torture works,” that he should “try it.”
“Well you know, why don’t Whoopi Goldberg try it?” Rochelle ‘Silk’ Richardson asked. “She needs to try respecting the president of the United States is what she needs to do.”
“The president of the United States is not a terrorist, he’s an American, he’s our president, so why would we waterboard him?” Silk continued. “If she wants to try what waterboarding feels like, why doesn’t she do it?”
Silk concluded with the identity politics case for Trump’s CIA director nominee Gina Haspel: “Another thing: why doesn’t she champion around Gina Haspel, to make sure that she gets this position? Wouldn’t she be the first woman in this position?”
“Hmmhmmm,” Steve Doocy concurred.
“So you should be championing around this woman who’s going to get this high position is what you should be doing,” Silk concluded.
The View had a heated debate surrounding Haspel’s nomination on Thursday. The longtime CIA agent, who oversaw torture at a CIA “black site” in Thailand after 9/11, has faced a difficult confirmation process given her history.
