Dianne Feinstein: Russian Interference and ‘Disinformation’ Influenced Election Outcome

Senator Dianne Feinstein said today she believes that Russian interference in the election ultimately influenced the final outcome.

She told Chuck Todd, “I have been astonished at what has been a two-year effort at Russia to spearfish, to hack, to provide disinformation, propaganda, wherever it really could. And I think this has been a very sophisticated effort.”

Todd asked her about the Senate intel committee’s planned investigation into Russian hacking. Feinstein said that she read the declassified report last night and came away from it with this conclusion:

“It’s pretty clear that the hacking was in both political parties, but with the aim of hurting Hillary Clinton. And then, if Hillary Clinton were to win, the aim clearly was to weaken her.”
