Don Lemon Asks Trump If He’s a Racist or a Homophobe
CNN’s Don Lemon asked Donald Trump tonight if he’s a racist or a homophobe, to give him a chance to clear the air about the attacks against him.
Trump again defended his handling of a town hall questioner who ranted about President Obama being a Muslim, and, on the question of whether Muslims are a “problem,’ said, “A certain segment are certainly a problem.”
Lemon then asked Trump if he thinks he’s homophobic. Trump said he’s a very nice person and––instead of actually talking about gay people––went on a tangent about how evangelicals love him.
And as for the perception that he’s racist, Trump started off by touting his recent appearance at an African-American Chamber of Commerce event before going off on another tangent about how CNN “made me look bad” because they committed the awful sin of showing there were empty seats at the event.
