Dr. Drew Threatens to Shut Show Down Over #BlackLivesMatter Heckler

HLN host Dr. Drew angrily threatened to shut down his show and air test patterns Thursday night after a heckler started shouting over one of his guests who trashed the Black Lives Matter movement.

Dr. Drew asked his guest Breitbart reporter Alex Swoyer why the Republicans didn’t bring up the issue during the debate. “Well, I think that the focus of yesterday’s debate was Hugh Hewitt, who is known to be [big on] foreign policy. I’m sure Black Lives Matter–” she began.

Suddenly an audience member started shouting over her. “I don’t care about… foreign policy!” she began shouting. “I care about right now.”

Dr. Drew and security tried shushing her. But after Swoyer began talking about how Michael Brown didn’t have his hands up when he was shot by Ferguson police, that unsurprisingly got the audience member shouting again.

“Everybody, I’m going to shut down this TV show and go to a test pattern unless people behave themselves and behave civilly. I’m not kidding,” Dr. Drew said.

“I’m not kidding,” he repeated. “It’s a live television show, and I will go to a test pattern if I have to.” Security guards eventually appeared and escorted the unruly heckler out of the studio.
