Ex-Trump Comms Director Says ‘He’s Gonna Lose in November’

Former White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci said his former boss Donald Trump will lose November’s general election against President Joe Biden.

Trump is the presumptive Republican nominee for president who is facing a poorly polling incumbent, but also four criminal indictments as he tries to reclaim the Oval Office.

On Friday, Trump cited one of his trials in a fundraising email whose subject line read, “72 hours until all hell breaks loose!”

The email, which referred to the start of Trump’s criminal trial in New York on Monday, implored readers to “SAVE AMERICA” by donating to Trump’s campaign. The former president has pleaded not guilty to 32 felony counts of falsifying business records.

“He’s trying to foment anger,” Scaramucci told host Abby Phillip of CNN NewsNight on Friday. “He’s trying to claim that they’re coming after him unfairly. He’s trying to play the victim to people who unfortunately feel aggrieved by the system.”

“Do you think that the MAGA types will respond to that message the way he wants them to?” Phillip asked.

“I think what he’s hoping for, thing number one is money because he wants to use their money to defend himself,” Scaramucci said, alluding to the fact Trump has been using donor money to pay his legal bills. “The second thing is violence, and I don’t think anybody’s ready to do that for him right now. But I think the country has to gird for when he loses in November – and he’s gonna lose in November. He’ll claim that the election was rigged and he’ll try to foment the same type of violence that he fomented on the 6th of January in 2021.”

Scaramucci appeared skeptical at Trump’s ability to continue raising money because “he’s bled those people dry.”
