Finally: David Letterman Conducts A Simulated Interview With ‘Mitt Romney’

Late Show host David Letterman, as you may be aware, has been trying (in vain) to get GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to come onto his show, even telling his viewers not to vote for Romney until he does.

Well, Romney still hasn’t. Maybe he doesn’t take kindly to being called “Mitch,” or maybe he’s not the greatest fan of Letterman’s “dog on roof” jokes. Whatever the reason, Romney and his family still haven’t accepted Letterman’s open invitation to visit the show before the election. So Letterman took matters into his own hands… by setting up a simulated interview with actor Jack Black in the role of the former governor of Massachusetts.

The interview went swimmingly, with Letterman remaining on his best behavior, even complimenting “Romney” on his handsomeness. “Romney,” in turn, praised Letterman for being a “beacon of impartiality” and for serving delicious beverages on set.
