FOX Divides Social Media With AI Segment Walking Viewers Through Jimmy Johnson’s Career: ‘Worst Thing That’s Ever Aired’
FOX divided viewers ahead of Super Bowl LIX Sunday with an AI-generated segment that was narrated by Jimmy Johnson and walked them through every step of his illustrious career.
The coach, who at one point met an AI-generated version of himself as a player for the University of Arkansas Razorbacks, walked network viewers through his climb up the coaching ladder.
The 81-year-old – who might or might not be retiring from the Fox NFL desk after this season – was aged as a digital version of himself walked throughout his career destinations as his hair style and color changed.

Fayetteville, Ames, Iowa, Stillwater, Oklahoma, Miami (twice), and eventually Dallas, Johnson and AI-Johnson were there together.
FOX even went to the trouble to generate a young version of Jerry Jones before he bought the Dallas Cowboys – which Johnson helmed to two Super Bow wins.
After the segment aired, an emotional Johnson said he had not seen it beforehand. Many who watched were moved by it, while others found it off-putting. Here is a small sample of some of the reactions:
