Fox’s John Roberts Left Speechless by Pelosi Calling Trump ‘Worst Thing on the Face of the Earth’
Fox News’ John Roberts was left speechless after hearing Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) call President Donald Trump the “worst thing” on Earth in one of her final interviews before announcing her retirement from Congress.
Roberts covered Pelosi’s “brutal” comments about Trump on America Reports while covering her Thursday announcement that she will not seek reelection after decades in office.
Speaking with CNN over the weekend, Pelosi called Trump a “vile creature” and “the worst thing on the face of the Earth.”
“He’s just a vile creature. The worst thing on the face of the Earth,” said Pelosi while speaking with CNN over the weekend even doubling down when asked if she really believes the president is the “worst thing” on the planet.
Roberts found himself struggling to find words as he tried to make sense of Pelosi’s assessment in a world that includes terrorists and even the recent assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Vivek Ramaswamy joined Roberts for the segment.
“So what do you make of comments like that from the former speaker, particularly after the president survived two assassination attempts, the political violence that we saw against Charlie Kirk and others — I mean, what, I — a lot of people are saying why is she…” Roberts said as he began stumbling out of shock.
Ramaswamy jumped in to condemn Pelosi.
He said:
In a world with terrorists who around the world. You have to think about vile people. Vile people exist on the planet. To say the president of the United States is whatever she said, the worst person on Earth, it’s just unconscionable. It’s unacceptable. It’s not what we need more of in our politics. It’s Nancy Pelosi’s retirement day, apparently, I just learned that from you, I’m gonna show some restraint and say, we wish her well in her retirement, but this is a good way to turn the page on a chapter in American politics, moving past a gerontocracy that, at least if we’re running against other people in the Democratic party, let it be people with fresh ideas with whom we’re able to have an open debate on the ideas rather than this type of, you know, what is vile is, actually, that kind of vile dialogue. So I’d be happy for one to turn the page on that John, wish her well in her retirement, and we’re looking forward to a newer generation of more constructive politics after her retirement. That’s where we got to go.
In a statement to Fox News’ Peter Doocy, Trump celebrated Pelosi’s coming retirement.
“The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America. She was evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country. She was rapidly losing control of her party, and it was never coming back. I’m very honored she impeached me twice and failed miserably twice. Nancy Pelosi is a highly overrated politician,” he told Doocy.
