Fox’s Rosen Defends Marie Harf: People ‘Misunderstood’ ISIS Comments, Made ‘Sexist’ Attacks
Fox News’ James Rosen has had his sparring matches with State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf, but tonight he defended her a little and told Megyn Kelly that she doesn’t deserve a lot of the “abuse” she gets online.
Kelly and Rosen were talking about how Harf was passed over to become the new State Department spokesperson––up from the deputy slot––and Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby is taking the position.

Rosen said that Harf’s now-infamous comments about economic factors to consider when figuring out how to combat ISIS were “widely misunderstood.” He said that Harf made the same point George W. Bush did, one that “everyone would agree with,” and told Kelly a lot of the criticism against Hard “has been sexist in nature, juvenile in nature.”
Rosen also told Kelly that he believes Harf has done a good job in her position and it was “somewhat disloyal of Secretary Kerry to pass her over in this instance.”
