Fox’s Varney Rips Trump Over Machado Attacks: ‘You Won’t Win the Election Like This!’

Fox Business host Stu Varney has been more willing to defend Donald Trump than most others on Fox, but he had to draw the line at Trump attacking a former Miss Universe over her weight.

He said most people have serious struggles with weight, “and when a presidential candidate keeps mentioning a woman’s weight problem, you know it’s both wrong and politically disastrous.”

And what really kills Varney is that Trump is focusing on this instead of going after Hillary Clinton on her many vulnerabilities:

“Trump does not make use of this ammunition. No. He keeps the weight story going for days on end! So here’s what I gotta say. You won’t win the women’s vote like this. You won’t win the election like this. Women and weight together? Don’t go there! Because it’s a real turn-off and, frankly, sir, it’s just plain wrong.”
