George Clooney And Nick Clooney Give Press Conference Following Arrest

Today, George Clooney and his father, journalist Nick Clooney, were arrested while trying to bring attention to the plight of the Sudanese people. The media responded by talking all about George Clooney. Oh well, I mentioned Sudan once in that first sentence. I guess that’s a win.

Anyway, the duo gave a press conference following their release, discussing the atrocities and ethnic cleansing going on in the nation. While there’s nothing funny about real human tragedy, I couldn’t help but laugh watching the news channels cover the Clooneys’ speech. Watch the CNN video below and check to see what happens when a man without a famous last name tries to actually speak about Sudan:

Come on, dude! You don’t have a movie star chin! People aren’t tuning in to CNN to learn about stuff going on in the world. They’re here for the Clooney!

Fortunately, the actor then took over and CNN’s Brooke Baldwin instantly cut back to the live feed so viewers could hear Clooney speak. But were they able to learn anything while getting lost in his eyes?
