Gohmert: I’ll Get on Board With Trump Once He Apologizes

Congressman Louie Gohmert, a strong conservative Republican and Ted Cruz supporter, indicated on Fox Business Network today that he will happily get on board with Donald Trump as the GOP nominee… but only if he apologizes.

He told Stu Varney that he’s very troubled by how much Trump lied about Cruz and how he “besmirched” other candidates.

“As a Christian, Stuart,” Gohmert declared, “if he apologizes, then yes, I will forgive him and come on board.”

Varney confronted him and said that means he’s basically handing the election to Hillary Clinton. Gohmert shot back, “No, Donald Trump will be giving it to Hillary.”
