Good Riddance: The Best (Worst) of MSNBC’s Martin Bashir
After a near week-and-a-half “vacation” from being on-air, MSNBC’s Martin Bashir resigned Wednesday afternoon in light of comments he made about someone defecating in Sarah Palin‘s mouth.
As Mediaite readers are likely well aware, I’ve gone after Bashir’s show multiple times, not for partisan reasons (I occasionally agree with the host) but because I believe his show represented the very worst aspects of cable news today. There are plenty of nasty, counterproductive hosts and pundit on Fox and CNN as well, but Bashir’s show somehow managed to combine all those negatives into one giant mess.
And so, with that, I happily say “Good riddance” upon the ending of his show.
