Greg Gutfeld Suggests Hosting ‘Counter-Dinner’ After Trump Proposes He Host WHCD Next Year
President Trump liked Pete Hegseth‘s idea for Greg Gutfeld to host next year’s White House Correspondents Dinner. And Gutfeld is on board. Well, sort of.
On The Five today, the hosts mostly panned the dinner and Wolf’s speech, with Jesse Watters saying the jokes were “very dirty.”
Kimberly Guilfoyle then brought up the President’s tweet about her co-host:
While Washington, Michigan, was a big success, Washington, D.C., just didn’t work. Everyone is talking about the fact that the White House Correspondents Dinner was a very big, boring bust…the so-called comedian really “bombed.” @greggutfeld should host next year! @PeteHegseth

Gutfeld is up for hosting an event the night of the dinner next year, but “not there.”
“We have to do a counter-dinner,” he proposed. “Maybe do it for police widows. The money goes there and then Trump has to go to that instead of that.”
Gutfeld also joked yesterday that he wouldn’t be able to host anyway since the gig’s recently gone to comedians who’ve worked on The Daily Show.
