Hannity: Trump’s McCain Comment ‘Made Me Cringe,’ Should Probably Apologize
Sean Hannity is more likely to defend Donald Trump than most others in the media, but tonight he admitted Trump went a little too far in his snarking at the expense of John McCain‘s status as a war hero.
Hannity tonight spoke with Rick Perry, who immediately reacted to Trump over the weekend by calling on him get out of the race. Perry continued to rip Trump, and Hannity admitted that what Trump said “made me cringe.”
He didn’t like Trump saying “I like people that weren’t captured,” because that “kind of insinuates, ‘Oh, what he wanted to get captured?'”
And as Perry continued to dismiss Trump’s electoral chances, Hannity said if he were Trump he would have apologized for it and called McCain directly to sort things out.
