‘Hold On’: Leland Vittert Confronts Jeffrey Epstein’s Brother After He Says Sibling ‘Was Just Having a Good Time’

NewsNation anchor Leland Vittert confronted Mark Epstein on Tuesday after he said his brother, deceased serial sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, “was just having a good time.”

During an interview with Epstein on his show On Balance, Vittert asked:

There’s very few people who knew him the way you did, and you hear all these allegations that he was providing women, some of age, some not of age to other men to compromise them. There’s allegations of video tapes that have been recounted on and on and on, but does all that surprise you? Or do you hear about that and kind of go, gee, there was always something about him that as a brother you go, that kind of makes sense?

“It doesn’t make sense to me. I think he was just, like you said, he was just having a good time. Jeffrey liked to have a good time,” replied Epstein, as Vittert pulled a confused face. “And unfortunately…”

Vittert interrupted, “Hold on. There’s a big difference though between having–”

Epstein then cut Vittert off, declaring, “I wasn’t there, so if you’re asking me to speculate, then I really don’t wanna speculate because I wasn’t there.”

“Okay, and look, I wouldn’t want to know this– I don’t have a brother, but I wouldn’t want to know this about anybody I loved,” acknowledged Vittert. “I mean, the allegations are frankly revolting when you hear about what your brother is accused of doing.”

He concluded, “On a personal level, I know this would be hard to hear about a family member so I appreciate you being willing to discuss it with us, and like you, I think there’s a lot of people who want more answers.”

During the interview, Epstein also accused former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr of covering up his brother’s death, which was officially ruled as a suicide.
