‘Hold Up!’ O’Reilly, Tavis Smiley Throw Down over ‘Minuscule’ Police Shootings
Bill O’Reilly tussled a bit with Tavis Smiley tonight after O’Reilly referred to the “minuscule” police shooting that happen in the United States.
O’Reilly told Smiley there’s no “epidemic” of young black men being gunned down. When Smiley insisted “there is a pattern here,” O’Reilly shot back, “It’s a minuscule pattern.”
Smiley shouted, “Hold up! Hold up!” when O’Reilly continued and forcefully told him, “Tell the parents of those precious young children that it’s minuscule!… That’s disrespectful, my friend!”
O’Reilly insisted statistics don’t bear out a pattern. Smiley concluded the segment by saying it’s now “hunting season on black men.”
