Jake Tapper Leaving ABC News For ‘Anchor Role’ On CNN

 

Jake Tapper, ABC News Chief White House Correspondent, is leaving his post at the broadcast network for an “anchor role’ at CNN, according to an announcement by ABC News. CNN confirmed that they will welcome Tapper to the network for a weekday program.

ABC reporter Jonathan Karl will take Tapper’s position as ABC’s White House correspondent and Martha Raddatz will take on an “expanded role” as Chief Global Affairs Correspondent.

ABC News President Ben Sherwood said, in an internal email to ABC employees, that Tapper will be missed.
