Jake Tapper Teases CNN’s Begala over Embarrassing Hillary Email

Amid all the juicy little tidbits in the latest Hillary Clinton email dump from the State Department, there was one in particular involving CNN’s Paul Begala. You may remember how excitable cable news was about President Obama‘s first 100 days in office, looking back on how he and the people around him have been doing. Well, CNN had a planned scorecard panel thingy and Begala reached out to State to make an inquiry:

Mediaite’s own Joe Concha wrote earlier today that the email should really get CNN to reconsider its relationship with Begala.

Well, when Begala appeared on The Lead to talk politics with Jake Tapper, Tapper brought up the email, played the clip of Begala on CNN, and teased him a bit about his reference to the “dopey” CNN segment.

Begala laughed it off and insisted it wasn’t his beat, and he just wanted to get specifics from the source.
