Jeanine Pirro Slams Biden’s Visit to Israel, Claims ‘He Delayed the Ground Invasion’ Of Gaza
Jeanine Pirro criticized President Joe Biden for visiting Israel amid its ongoing war against Hamas, claiming he delayed a ground invasion of Gaza.
Biden departed the U.S. for Israel on Tuesday as Israel continues to conduct strikes against Hamas-controlled Gaza after the group carried out terrorist attacks that killed more than 1,300 people, with more than 100 abducted. A large-scale Israeli ground invasion is expected to commence, though it is unclear when.
“He gave kind of a nice speech,” Pirro said on Wednesday’s installment of The Five on Fox News. “But he displayed no strength. The strength that America has displayed is pretty much based upon the fact that we have two carriers in the eastern Mediterranean. His comments were watered down.”
She went on to speculate that Biden’s presence temporarily prevented a ground invasion from commencing.
“I think he delayed the ground invasion,” Pirro said. “I think the hostages are still there. I know they are still, with no independent third party like the International [Committee of the] Red Cross. And he put a burden on Israel, which I thought was really interesting. He said ‘Today, I asked the Israeli cabinet to agree to the delivery of life-saving humanitarian assistance to citizens in Gaza based on the understanding there will be inspections, that the aid should go to the civilians and not Hamas.'”
She added, “But he’s saying, basically, things that he didn’t need to go to Israel to say. He would’ve been better off with a press conference, you know, stopping the false narrative. The false narrative that’s gone around the world already is that Israel bombed a hospital in Gaza.”
