Krauthammer: Imagine If Trump Had Attacked a Black or Jewish Judge for Bias…
Donald Trump is continuing to stand by his declaration that the judge in the Trump University case is biased because he’s Hispanic. And on Fox earlier tonight, Charles Krauthammer invited people to think about the implications of such an attack.
Krauthammer said, “Imagine if he were to say, ‘Well, he’s biased against me because he’s a Jew or because he’s black.’ You can’t do that in this country.”
The other issue, he pointed out, is the danger of “retaliation” when someone who wants to run to be the president attacks a member of the judiciary over supposed bias.
Krauthammer said that this certainly raises a lot of questions about just how independent the judiciary would really be if Trump was in charge.
