Kristen Wiig Says Goodbye To SNL After 7 Years
Last night’s SNL season finale was a bittersweet moment for one of its longest-running cast members, as Kristen Wiig officially marked her departure from the show after seven long years. Wiig was expected to leave SNL in order to focus on her fim career, which really took off in 2011 with the release of her film Bridesmaids.

Her goodbye was set up with a bit involving Mick Jagger addressing a “graduating class” and inviting Wiig up for a big song-and-dance number (to the tune of the Rolling Stones’ “She’s A Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday”) with all of her castmates. She even slow-danced with none other than Lorne Michaels, the show’s creator. Even some of Wiig’s former castmates, including Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch, stopped by for the big send-off.
