‘Kudos to Dana Bash!’ Fox & Friends Praise CNN Anchor for Pressing Pramila Jayapal on Hamas Rapes

Fox & Friends gave props to CNN anchor Dana Bash over her tough questions for Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) about why progressive women aren’t more loudly condemning Hamas for raping Israeli women.

On Monday, the Fox panel took notice of Bash’s State of the Union interview, where she confronted Jayapal on why she and her fellow progressives have been “downright silent” over the sexual violence Hamas members committed on October 7th and beyond.

While Jayapal agreed with Bash that these sexual assaults were “horrific,” she equivocated it with the death of Palestinian civilians from Israeli air strikes, saying, “We have to be balanced” in condemning both sides of the current conflict in Gaza.

Jayapal’s comments were slammed by critics who accused her of minimizing Hamas’ sexual atrocities in the form of bothsidesism. After Fox & Friends rolled the footage from the interview, Lawrence Jones offered “a lot of kudos to Dana Bash.”

There are some people at her network that haven’t been as forceful. There’s some people at other networks that haven’t been as forceful, and [Jayapal] is the chair of the Progressive caucus. The question is, and I want people to really think about this. For months now, for years actually, we’ve heard about women’s rights. We have heard about equal justice… There is an entire campaign of hate toward Jewish people, and the same outrage, the same condemnation, is not being projected.

So the question we must ask ourselves: why is that? There’s only one thing that is different, and it’s that they are Jewish. I think it was great of Dana Bash to press the congresswoman. Stay focused here! I keep telling people I’m so sick of this ‘both sides’ thing, because there is not both sides.

As Steve Doocy blasted Jayapal for voting “present” on Congress’ resolution to support Israel and condemn Hamas, he also gave Bash for her “great question” to the representative.

“She hasn’t really denounced [Hamas] that vocally,” he said. “Instead, rather than denouncing Hamas, she is talking about the Palestinian people. You have got to denounce Hamas, period! Because that is the source of evil, and this is what Israel is working to do, to wipe Hamas off the face of the earth.”
