Loretta Lynch: WH Should Just ‘Stay Silent’ on Hillary Email Investigation

lynchAttorney General Loretta Lynch testified in Congress today and was asked about White House comments regarding the ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s emails.

Press Secretary Josh Earnest has made a few comments at White House press briefings about the email investigation, including saying in January Clinton herself “is not a target of the investigation.”

Senator Lindsey Graham asked Lynch today where Earnest is getting his information. She assured that no one at the DOJ has been briefing Earnest or the White House on the investigation.

When Graham asked if Earnest should just “stay silent,” Lynch said, “It’s my hope that when it comes to ongoing investigations that we all would stay silent.”
