Louie Gohmert Reveals Whether It’s ‘Personal’ Between Him and Eric Holder

During a congressional hearing on Tuesday, Attorney General Eric Holder and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) engaged in a heated exchange which appeared to diverge from substantive arguments and veer into the realm of personal attacks. On Wednesday, Gohmert appeared on Fox & Friends where he was asked whether his dispute with Holder had evolved from strictly professional to personal.

“Congressman, it’s personal between you guys, obviously,” host Brian Kilmeade observed. “It seems like you disdain each other.”

“Well, it’s not personal with me,” Gohmert replied. “He seems like a likeable guy.”

“But he is the highest law enforcement officer in the country, and he is obviously choosing making personal choices rather than objective choices on who he prosecutes and persecutes and who he doesn’t,” the congressman continued.
