Madonna Brings Anderson Cooper On-Stage and Spanks Him

Anderson Cooper may have beef with the Smashing Pumpkins, but he sure as hell has none with Madonna.

During Madonna‘s Saturday evening performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., the CNN anchor was brought up on-stage by Madge’s dancing crew. Cooper awkwardly cut a rug to “Unapologetic Bitch” for a few moments before Madonna bent him over and spanked him multiple times.

“I don’t think you need an introduction,” Madonna said after the song. “Ladies and gentlemen, a big round of applause for Anderson Cooper.”

Acknowledging Cooper’s rigid dance moves, the singer joked with him that it’s part of “the low-key CNN style, right?” She continued: “Like, ‘I’m not gonna get too cray-cray on stage,’ right? You know what? You did good. You’re a brave man.”

And because this is latter-day Madonna (read: she does whatever she wants), she gave Cooper a banana as a gift, telling him, “I’m sure you can figure out what to do with it.”
