MAGA Supporter at Rally Hypes Civil War And Political Arrests to NBC News: ‘The Police Are Probably With Us!’

A supporter for former President Donald Trump told NBC News correspondent Vaughn Hillyard that he wants to arrest opponents of the Republican frontrunner and is excited for a potential civil war.

During a Wednesday rally in Florida, Hillyard spoke with the unnamed Trump supporter about why he believes opponents of Trump should be arrested for apparently “stealing” the 2020 election.

Ever since losing the 2020 election, Trump and his supporters have pushed false claims that the 2020 election was stolen through various unproven methods of voter fraud. Trump now faces two criminal indictments for his efforts to overturn the presidential election and could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted.

The Trump supporter claimed that likeminded conservatives would be able to imprison the opposition because the “police are probably with us.” Hillyard’s interview with the man aired during a segment on Chris Jansing Reports on Friday:

HILLYARD: When you say go after them, what do you mean?

MAGA SUPPORTER: Arrest them! Imprison them for violating our Constitution.

HILLYARD: How do you do that?

MAGA SUPPORTER: Police are probably with us.

HILLYARD: The Police will be on the side-

MAGA SUPPORTER: Of the patriots! They sure will. They haven’t been corrupted yet, as far as I know.

HILLYARD: I mean, that is that’s an actual civil war that you’re talking about. Oh, yeah. You believe that the election was stolen in 2020?

MAGA SUPPORTER: Absolutely. Plain on the nose of your face.
