Man Dresses As Priest, Performs ‘Sexual Act’ On Church Altar

Local police in Cambridge, Mass. are on the lookout for a man who broke into a church, dressed in priest’s robes, then undressed himself and “performed a sexual act” on the altar.

According to WCVB, the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, Sept. 29. The unidentified white male gained entry into the building through an unlocked door at around 3 a.m. local time, meandered for 45 minutes while wearing priest’s garments, then stripped naked.

“He stripped himself down to being naked and then performed a sexual act on the altar stage,” said police spokesperson Jeremy Warnick.

Alexander Pogorzelski, a member of the church board, told WCVB he was “confused as to why someone would do this.”

Police and WCVB stress that the man has yet to be identified, but authorities are on the lookout for any tips viewers might have. He’s described as a white male in his 20s who, as indicated by the security footage, may wear glasses.

Or, as the station’s short article on the story indicates in the lede, “man described as white, wearing glasses.” So at least 50 percent of the greater Cambridge and Boston areas, then.
