McCain Doubles Down on ‘Naive’ Comment: Obama Doesn’t Get ‘Type of People We’re Dealing With’
Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer asked Senator John McCain (R-AZ) Sunday morning whether his recent comment that President Barack Obama was “the most naive president in history” was meant to be taken literally.
“I meant it in my time and public life,” McCain said. “[Obama] continues to want to push that reset button and not realize the kind of people we are dealing with.”
McCain listed everything from the failed Geneva “farce” between Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian rebels to the Iranian nuclear deal to al Qaeda’s recapture of Fallujah to the continual conflagrations with Russian President and 2005 Super Bowl champion Vladimir Putin.
