Mediaite Founder Dan Abrams to Host Live A&E Show Following Police Departments
Mediaite founder Dan Abrams is set to host a newly-announced A&E series taking an in-depth look at police departments across the country.
A&E today announced a new documentary series called Live PD, which is meant to “not only highlight the difficult work being done by our men and women in uniform as they go out into the streets never knowing what to expect, but also answers citizens’ calls for clarity.”
And what makes this show unique is that each episode will capture what happens in these police departments live. (Though there is a delay “due to the potential of capturing intense and possibly disturbing content.”) That live element of covering the police has led to widespread coverage of the show ranging from Deadline to The Hollywood Reporter to The New York Post among many others.
Abrams, who already hosts 60 Days In on A&E is also the chief legal analyst at ABC News. He will host the show joined by two Dallas Police Department detectives to provide unique insight into what viewers are witnessing from the police forces on screen.
Last year Abrams launched LawNewz, Mediaite’s sister site focused on legal news and analysis.
