Minutes After SOTU, GOP Rep. Asks Trump to ‘Release the Memo’

One Republican congressman, as President Trump was leaving after his State of the Union, asked him to “release the memo.”

The Congressman in question was Rep. Jeff Duncan (R- SC), and the President responded by saying, “Don’t worry, 100%.” (It’s unclear from the video whether he was being serious when he said it.)

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee voted to release the memo in question––the FISA memo some Republicans have claimed contain serious bombshells about the FBI and DOJ––but there was reporting earlier Tuesday night that top DOJ officials reached out yesterday before the vote warning the White House about what would happen if it was released.
