MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend criticized House Democrats for protesting President Donald Trump’s congressional address with signs on Tuesday, likening the awkward stunt to “bingo.”

After Democratic members of Congress held up signs during Trump’s address that read, “False,” “Save Medicaid,” and “Musk Steals,” Sanders-Townsend observed on social media that the stunt did not appear to be “landing.”

“Why are democrats just sitting there? The signs are not landing. It is giving bingo! Sigh,” she reacted.

In other posts, Sanders-Townsend mocked, “‘B42. B42…BINGO!’ They are not taking back the house with these visuals,” and argued, “Democratic leadership did not do their members any favors by stifling their desires to speak out.”

Several members of the Trump administration agreed with Sanders-Townsend’s assessment, with Trump deputy assistant Alex Pfeiffer tweeting, “When she’s right, she’s right.”

“That’s an insult to BINGO!” protested White House special assistant Harrison Fields.

One House Democrat, Rep. Al Green (D-TX), was escorted out of the chamber after he repeatedly heckled Trump and refused to take his seat.

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM), meanwhile, raised her own hand-made sign as Trump made his entrance, which read, “This is NOT normal.”

House Democrats left the chamber as a group towards the end of Trump’s speech after spending the entirety of the address sat down in protest.
