Netanyahu Gets Crucial Last-Minute Chuck Norris Endorsement

With just one day to go before Election Day in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has received a major new endorsement — from conservative action star Chuck Norris.

In a new ad posted to YouTube Monday, Norris cites Netanyahu’s speech to Congress earlier this month as one the things that inspired him to make the endorsement. “I saw a man who loves his country with all his heart and soul,” Norris, who has filmed three movies in Israel says in the 60 second video. “I also saw a strong leader that is absolutely crucial for the safety of the Israeli people.”

In 2012, Norris supported Texas Governor Rick Perry for president, before endorsing Newt Gingrich after this happened. That year, he also warned that re-electing Barack Obama would lead to a “thousand years of darkness,” which so far has not come to pass.

If the Norris ad doesn’t put Netanyahu over the top in his close race for prime minister, perhaps his latest comments about the future of Palestine will do the trick. In an election eve interview, the prime minister vowed that if he is re-elected, there will never be a Palestinian state.
