Obama to Make One Last Appearance with Letterman Monday

Following his wife’s visit to the Late Show last night, President Barack Obama will make his eighth and final appearance on the show this coming Monday, May 4 before David Letterman retires two weeks later.
CBS announced Friday that Obama will join Will Ferrell along with musical guests the Avett Brothers and Brandi Carlile for Monday’s show. Other big name guests next week include Reese Witherspoon, Martin Short, Tina Fey and Ray Romano.
Obama has spent more time with Letterman than any other late night host, making a remarkable five appearances on the Late Show when he was a U.S. senator from Illinois between the years of 2004 and 2008, even delivering a top ten list of campaign promises at one point. After being elected president, he visited once in September 2009 and then again in September 2012.
